Last year, Art Basel. This year, Dali Museum.

This past week, we took a >much needed< trip to Clearwater, Florida. I had a great time soaking up the sun with Elvis Presley, Salvador Dali, and some of my familia.

Blasting Elvis radio on the way to St. Petersburg fueled my excitement even more. We spent hours walking through galleries of the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali was a genius. The Spanish artist combined his interest of natural science and mathematics in his painting. His level of meticulousness can only be seen by viewing his work in person. Also interesting to learn, to much of his father’s dismay of choosing to be an artist, Dali continued painting throughout his lifetime. His choice of color, technique, and relentless rebellion of conventionalism left me inspired. Of course, we ended the day with Little Ashes (2008). The Baltimore Museum of Art and more…

Today I took a private tour of a premier private contemporary art collection in Baltimore. Also, got to enjoy a presentation about the Contemporary (Museum) of Baltimore by Executive Director Deana Haggag. Then, had a delicious vegan lunch at the Baltimore Museum of Art before touring special exhibits. It was a long, yet amazing day.
